Mission Statement
Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) empowers people and promotes housing opportunity through counseling, education, supportive services, community partnerships and the provision of multi-family affordable housing. N2N fosters positive outcomes and stable housing along all points of the housing continuum, from homelessness through home ownership.
Neighbor to Neighbor Overview
Stable housing is vital to individual, family and community health. Without meeting basic housing needs, families struggle with other needs such as meals, education, employment and health care. Neighbor to Neighbor is the primary housing resource for Larimer County residents, with services fostering the basic human need for stable housing for people from the homeless to homeowners. N2N supports Larimer County residents with three key service areas:
• Renter Program
• Affordable Housing Program
• Home Ownership Program
| Home Buyer Education Classes |
At Neighbor to Neighbor, we care about successful homeownership and our goal is to provide appropriate training to prepare First Time Home Buyers. Home buyers that participate in pre-purchase education are 30% less likely to foreclose than those who don't. By attending our class, potential homeowners will gain the knowledge they need to make wise decisions along the way. Class completion is the first step to become eligible for local down payment assistance programs.
Topics Include: The Steps in the Home Buying Process, Budgeting and Credit, Financing, Shopping for an Affordable Home, Down Payment Assistance Programs and Guidelines, Post Purchase Home Care
Note: The classes for June are already full! Register for July classes early to reserve your spot.
